Akron Togliatti striker Artem Dzyuba scored record goal in RPL Week 20 fixture against Krylia Sovetov Samara.

36-year-old player broke the deadlock in Samara Region Derby after nine minutes of play. Dzyuba scored 234th goal at top level competitions, and it made him new all-time Russian football top scorer. Previously the record was held by Aleksandr Kerzhakov.

Dzyuba scored 165th goal in RPL matches. He also has 13 goals in Russian Cup, one in Super Cup, ten at all Champions League stages, 14 at all UEFA Cup / Europa League stages, 30 for Russia national team, one in Turkish Super Lig.

Forward joined Akron last September, he has already scored five goals for RPL newcomer. His previous clubs were Spartak Moscow (38 goals), Tom Tomsk (14), FC Rostov (20), Zenit St. Petersburg (108), Arsenal Tula (6), Adana Demirspor (1) and Lokomotiv Moscow (12).
