print version

FC Orenburg officially made changes at head coach position.

Jiri Jarosik, hired as head coach on 22 June, left the club, as his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. New head coach is David Deogracia Marquez, Spanish coach, who had been working as Orenburg Academy head coach since March.

Before coming to Russia Deogracia spent more than five years in Belarus. On March 2017 he became senior coach of Dynamo Brest Academy (came with Armice Vega Ramos, current member of Orenburg coaching staff), and on July 2022 he moved to Shakhtyor Soligorsk Academy to take the same position. Coach also worked in Spanish clubs like Deportivo La Coruna, Real Zaragoza, and Valencia CF, then moved to Thailand (Buriram United), and Morocco (Athletic Tetuan).

Under Jarosik Orenburg earned one point in five RPL matches and went 16th in the standings, while in the Russian Cup team started with 0-6 loss to CSKA and 2-0 win over Sochi. On 25 August, Orenburg will host CSKA in RPL Week 6 match.
