Kristijan Bistrovic struck the only goal of the game midway through the second period, just three minutes after coming off the bench, to lift CSKA Moscow up to second in the table. Fedor Chalov laid off a well-weighted pass for the assist.

Ufa remain in 14th on five points, with CSKA jumping up into the Champions League places in second on 16 points. Ufa travel to take on Zenit St. Petersburg next on Saturday 26 September, while CSKA host Lokomotiv in another Moscow derby on Sunday 27 September.
