Pogrebnyak strikes twice to earn Ural point against 10-man Dynamo

print version

Dynamo Moscow 2-2 Ural Ekaterinburg
Sunday 11 April, VTB Arena

Goals: Dynamo - Ordets (47), Zakharyan (71); Ural - Pogrebnyak (43, 75)
Sent off: Dynamo - Szymanski (56)
Man of the Match: Pavel Pogrebnyak (Ural)

Pavel Pogrebnyak rolled back the years with a powerful double to earn Ural an unexpected point against 10-man Dynamo. The former Zenit striker met two crosses with thumping headers, smashing in the rebound of the first just before half time.

Dynamo had come from behind to take the lead after two Konstantin Tyukavin-assisted goals - the first finished by Ivan Ordets right after the break. Arsen Zakharyan then applied a beautifully judged first-time finish to his fellow youth team product’s instinctive through ball.

Pogrebnyak had the last say, meeting a sumptuous cross from former Dynamo full-back Igor Kalinin to take back a share of the points.

Dynamo go fifth on 43 points, while Ural remain 12th on 30 points.

Next RPL fixtures: Saturday 17 April - Rotor Volgograd vs Dynamo Moscow; Sunday 18 April - Ural Ekaterinburg vs Rubin Kazan
