print version

UEFA Europa Conference League, Third Qualifying Round, Second Leg
Partizan Belgrade 2-2 FC Sochi (agg. 3-3, 4-2 on penalties)
Thursday August 12, Partizan Stadium, Belgrade

Goals: Partizan - Jojic 55', Scekic 90'; Sochi - Terekhov 32', 76'

A brace from wing back Sergey Terekhov gave high flying Sochi a truly monumental win over Partizan Belgrade. A well worked team effort, Terekhov's first goal was cancelled out by a Milan Jojic equaliser in the second half. However, he struck again some 20 minutes later, netting with a cheeky backheel finish this time. Partizan refused to give up and equalised once again through a late header, sending the game to extra time.

Eventually, penalties followed and it was the Serbian side that came on top, knocking Sochi out despite a great fight. The RPL will not have any participants in the Conference League due to the loss.

Next, they will play Khimki on Monday before facing off against Santa Clara in the playoffs of the Conference League.
