Last two trips at Dynamo stadium ended for Zenit with 1-0 loss in 2020 and 1-1 draw in 2021. New Dynamo team went against the leaders with three last signings in the starting 11, they are Eli Dasa, Mathias Normann and Nicolas Ngamaleu. Meanwhile Zenit kept the same roster, who made the biggest club win in the national leagues’ history. This time Ivan Sergeev was productive as an assistant, his pressure led to turnover from Normann, and the striker provided the assist to Andrey Mostovoy, who got his fifth goal.

Next time Sergeev showed himself was second half foul from Roberto Fernandez, and it led to sending the Paraguayan off, as he got the second yellow card. Just moments before Dynamo were close to score an equalizer, but Daniil Fomin hit the bar. In the end Gustavo Mantuan calmed the game down after catching the ball from Wilmar Barrios and scoring on a breakaway.

Zenit continue their lead on 26 points, while Dynamo stay sixth with 16 points.
