Before facing Sochi at Fisht Stadium Fakel made a final decision on coach, and Dmitry Pyatibratov, former assistant to Oleg Vasilenko, was appointed as full-time head coach. Curiously Pyatibratov had been working in another FC Sochi, and he got there short-time experience as interim head coach.

His new chapter in Fakel started promising, in the second straight game the combination of Georgy Gongadze and Evgeny Morozov worked on, Morozov tipped the ball with heel and gave the lead to Voronezh. It took six minutes for Sochi to find an answer, and Christian Noboa was the first to hit the ball sent from right wing by Nikita Burmistrov. Sochi top scorer made eighth goal this season, while team’s top assistant got fourth assist. In the second half the hosts had one-man advantage, as Matvey Ivakhnov was booked twice in 20 minutes, but Fakel kept the draw.
