Zenit players who played in games for their national teams in June returned to their club team on June 25 to prepare for the new season.
No morning practice was held on June 25. Part of the players were given the morning off, and the rest went to get their preseason medical exams.
Roman Shirokov, Axel Witsel, Nicolas Lombaerts, Tomas Hubocan, Luka Djordjevic, Vladimir Bystrov, Luis Neto and Danny all came to the SOGAZ medical clinic in downtown St. Petersburg at about 9:00 a.m. The players were given planned testing, including ECGs, ultrasound and special tests on a stationary bike, the club's official site says.
Zenit held a practice in the evening at the Udelny Park training ground featuring its complete side except for Hulk, who is with the Brazilian national team playing in the Confederations Cup, and Domenico Criscito, who is still recovering from his torn ACL.
The Blue-White-Sky Blues will play their next match on June 27 in Kiev vs. Shakhtar Donetsk.
