Zenit has appointed two head coaches for the Blue-White-Sky Blues` youth teams, the official site says.
Vladislav Radimov, a former Blue-White-Sky Blue midfielder and Zenit captain, has headed the new Zenit-2 side. The newly-formed professional team will play in Russia`s second division in the “West” zone in 2013/2014.
Vladisalv Radimov was born on November 26, 1975, in Leningrad. He was brought up in the “Smena” football school. He played for CSKA, Zaragoza, and Krylya Sovetov, before joining Zenit in 2003. Radimov played 161 matches for the Blue-White-Sky Blues, and scored 16 goals and made 30 assists. Radimov was Russian champion in 2007, and won the UEFA Cup and Super Cup, the Russian Premier League Cup, and the Russian Super Cup. Radimov played for the Russian national team. Radimov was FC Zenit`s team manager from 2009 to 2011. He`s been a coach of Zenit`s youth team starting from April, 2011.
The Russian coaching specialist Dmitry Cheryshev has been appointed head coach of Zenit`s youth team, replacing Anatoly Davydov.
Dmitry Cheryshev was born on May 11, 1969, in the city of Gorky. He was educated at the Torpedo Olympic Reserve School. He played for Khimki Dzerzhinsk, Lokomotiv Nizhny Novgorod, Dynamo Moscow, Sporting de Gijón ,«Burgos, and Aranjuez. He trained the youth teams of Real Madrid from 2006 to 2010. Cheryshev was appointed head coach of Sibir Novosibirsk from December 2010. He headed Volga Nizhny Novgorod in June, 2011, which made it to the semifinal of the Russian Cup.
