Russian national team midfielder Alexander Ryazantsev will continue his career in Zenit, the club's official site says. The free agent signed a contract with Zenit designed till the end of the 2017/18 season.
Alexander Ryazantsev was born on September 5, 1986, in Moscow. He started playing football at the Torpedo Youth Sports School, and made his debut in the Russian Premier League on October 16, 2004 for FC Moskva.
Ryazantsev then played for eight years for Rubin Kazan, appeared in more than 150 matches, scored 20 goals, and twice won the Russian league title.
Ryazantsev was first called up to the Russian national team in 2011. He currently has four caps for Russia, appearing in three friendly games and one official match.
In Zenit Ryazantsev will wear number 31. He will join the club after training camp in Qatar.
