Artur Yusupov will continue his career with Zenit

FC “Zenit” and the midfielder have reached an agreement wherein the player will continue his career from July 1st, 2015 as part of the Blue-White-Sky Blues. The contract lasts for 4 years. 

Artur Yusupov was born on September 1st, 1989 in Samara, where he began to play football. At the age of 10 he left to train with «Lokomotiv’s» academy in Moscow and from the age of 12 trained with  Togliatti’s Konoplev Academy. From 2006 to 2008 he played at the professional level for the team’s Academy — «Krylia Sovetov-SOK» and «Togliatti».

In December of 2008 he transferred to Moscow’s «Dynamo», and played 115 matches and scored 8 goals. He played 2010 on loan with the Moscow region «Khimki». 

The midfielder garnered the attention of the Russian youth national team. In 2011 he played three matches for the national team’s reserves and in 2013, he made it onto the long list for the first team. 

Yusupov plays as a central midfielder, with a strong defensive game. 

The football club «Zenit» welcomes Artur Yusupov and wishes him luck as part of the Blue-White-Sky Blues!
