The opener was scored in the 25^th minute: after moving from the pitch center to the penalty area the Brazilian made a well-placed shot to the far corner. At the end of the first half Hulk scored again. This time Danny assisted him and positioned him face to face with the goalkeeper, and the forward shot the ball over the goalkeeper.

Lekhwiya managed to play one goal back in the 56^th minute due to the shot by Youssef Msakni.
