Samedov leaves Lokomotiv

Midfield Alexander Samedov ended his playing for Lokomotiv.

The Railwaymen had received a proposal from Spartak about purchase of the player’s transfer. Alexander Samedov expressed his wish to move to the other team.

FC Lokomotiv administration took into consideration interests of National team of Russia where Alexander plays an important part.

32-year old player is a trainee of Spartak Academy. He played his first match for the main squad in November 2002, played 59 matches and scored 9 goals. He became the Cup of Russia winner — 2002/2003.

In the period between 2005 and 2016 Samedov played for Lokomotiv, Moscow and Dynamo-Moscow. In the current season he played 15 matches in the Championship, scored 4 goals and made 4 assists. Besides, the midfield proved his best in the Cup match against Krylia Sovetov.

Alexander Samedov played 35 matches for the National team of Russia and scored 5 goals. He took part in FIFA World Cup 2014 and EURO 2016.

The contract with the player comes in force as of 18 January 2017.
