FC Krasnodar announced Igor Smolnikov's return

Igor Smolnikov officially returned to FC Krasnodar after his contract with Zenit St. Petersburg was expired.

The defender signed two-year contract with possibility of one-year extension. The 31-year-old played for FC Krasnodar since 2012 till 2013 and then left for Zenit, where he became three-time RPL champion, two-time Russian Cup and Russian Super Cup winner.

Smolnikov debuted in RPL in 2006, when he was playing for Torpedo Moscow, another clubs in his career are Lokomotiv Moscow (2008, 2010), Ural Ekaterinburg (2009 on loan), FC Chita (2009 on loan), Zhemchuzhina-Sochi (2011) and FC Rostov (2011-2012).
