Lokomotiv appoint new CEO and Board of Directors

On 23 December, a general meeting of shareholders of FC Lokomotiv was held, where new members of the club's Board of Directors were elected.

The new Board of Directors includes: Dmitry Bulykin, Yuri Nagornykh, Alexander Plutnik, Vladimir Pyastolov, Gennady Fadeev, Valery Filatov, Victor Shendrik.

At the meeting, the new Board of Directors elected Aleksander Plutnik, who is a Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, as its Chairman, while Vladimir Leonchenko, who got a bronze medal with Lokomotiv in 1994, was also elected as the new CEO. From 2008 to 2019, Leonchenko worked as Executive Director and Chairman of the Council of the Union of Footballers and Coaches.

“We are grateful for the work done by our former colleagues on the Board of Directors. Under the leadership of Anatoly Meshcheryakov, Lokomotiv won many titles. He left the Council due to a switch to a new job,” said Aleksander Plutnik. “In addition, I would like to thank Vasily Kiknadze, who did a lot in terms of optimizing intra-club management processes, as well as for his participation in the reconstruction projects of the training base in Bakovka and the branch of the Academy in Perovo".
