Rubin extends Starfelt's contract

Rubin Kazan have extended the contract of 25-year-old Swedish defender Carl Starfelt. The new agreement runs until the summer of 2024.

Starfelt moved to Rubin in July 2019 from Gothenburg, becoming the team’s main central defender after missing just 13 available minutes in the RPL this season. Overall, he has scored two goals in 31 appearances for Leonid Slutsky’s side.

In October 2020 he made his debut for the Swedish national team.
