Yury Baturenko appointed as Rotor head coach

Rotor Volgograd have appointed Yury Mikhailovich Baturenko as head coach. He has been involved in coaching for more than 20 years, although this is his first role in charge of first team affairs. 

His most notable position was as a long-term assistant to Yury Semin at Lokomotiv Moscow, Mordovia Saransk, Anzhi Makhachkala and FC Qabala. At Lokomotiv, he brought through the likes of Marat Izmailov and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov amongst others.

Rotor General Director Andrey Rekechinsky said: "Yury Mikhailovich Baturenko is the best option for us. He worked shoulder to shoulder with Yury Semin building and preparing battling teams. In addition, he knows our guys, it will help him find a common language with other players."
