Former CSKA Moscow manager Viktor Goncharenko has been appointed as FC Krasnodar’s new head coach. The Belarusian has signed a two-and-a-half year contract.
Goncharenko is no stranger to the city of Krasnodar, having begun his coaching career in Russia with Kuban in 2013. He also took charge of Ural Ekaterinburg and FC Ufa before a four-year spell with the Armymen that included a Russian Super Cup win in 2018, and twice finishing RPL runners up.
He had previously won 10 trophies in his native Belarus with BATE Borisov before arriving in the RPL.
