Nizhny Novgorod appoint Aleksandr Kerzhakov as head coach

Newly-promoted Nizhny Novgorod have appointed Aleksandr Kerzhakov as their new head coach for their debut RPL campaign. Terms have not been revealed yet.

The former Zenit St. Petersburg striker has four years coaching experience under his belt at the Zenit academy system and Russian national youth teams, before making his step up to his first senior head coaching role last summer with Tom Tomsk. The former RPL side were relegated this summer to the PFL.
