Dynamo Moscow have confirmed the signing of AC Milan’s Diego Laxalt. The Uruguayan left-back has joined on a three-year deal, with the option of an extra year’s extension.
After making his senior professional debut in his homeland, he joined Inter Milan in 2013 before loan spells at Bologna, Empoli and Genoa, for whom his signed permanently. He then crossed the Milan divide to join Inter’s rivals after the 2018 World Cup.
In total, he played in 170 matches in Serie A, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists. He spent last season on loan at Celtic, winning the Scottish Cup with them.
As a member of the Uruguay under-17 team, in 2013 he took third place at the South American Championships, and also became a runner-up at the World Championship as his side lost to France. He has played 24 times for the full senior side.
