Dynamo have reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan for the transfer of Russian international Denis Makarov. The 23-year-old winger signed a five-year contract with the Moscow club.
Togliatti-born Makarov graduated from the Konoplev Academy to play for Yakutsk, Saransk, then FC Orenburg’s youth team and Orenburg-2. He later joined Neftekhimik, whom he helped to win the Ural-Volga Region zone and gain a foothold in the leaders of the FNL.
In January 2020, he moved to Rubin where he scored 11 goals in a season and a half. Last season, he was recognized as the best right midfielder of the Russian championship, made his debut for the country's under-21 national team, and in June was included in the senior team’s squad for the European Championships.
