Claudinho officially signs contract with Zenit

After announcing an agreement in principle last week, Zenit have confirmed the signing of Claudinho. The Brazilian forward has signed a five-year contract with the reigning champions. 

In July 2015, he signed his first professional contract with Corinthians after passing through the Santos academy system. He also played for Bragantino, Santo Andre, Ponte Preta, Red Bull Brazil, Oeste and Red Bull Bragantino. 

For his last club, he played 126 matches, scored 32 goals and made 25 assists, finishing top scorer in Brazil's Serie A with 18 goals and named best player of the national championship at the end of 2020. 

As a teammate of Zenit's Malcom with the Brazilian Olympic team, he played in all six matches at the 2020 tournament in Tokyo and won a gold medal.
