Igor Cherevchenko has left his post as head coach of Khimki. His contract has been terminated by mutual decision of the parties, with his coaching staff also leaving the club.
Cherevchenko took over in September 2020 and turned around a difficult situation in the standings, guiding the team to a record eighth place in the 2020/21 RPL season.
He had spent 14 years at Lokomotiv Moscow as a player, assistant and finally head coach, winning the Russian Cup under Miodrag Bozovic, before taking charge of Baltika Kaliningrad, Arsenal Tula and ultimately Khimki.
