Zenit reach agreement on Dejan Lovren move to Lyon

Zenit St. Petersburg and Olympique Lyonnais agreed the transfer of defender Dejan Lovren to French club.

33-year-old player previously spent three years in Lyon, since 2010 to 2013, and won French Cup in 2011/12 season. Lovren signed contract, which will run through 30 June 2025, as Olympique statement says.

Lovren came to Zenit from Liverpool in July 2020. He became two-time RPL champion and three-time Super Cup winner. Defender played 63 matches in total, 50 of them were in RPL, and scored all three goals in the league games. Lovren represented Zenit in Croatian national team at Euro 2020 and World Cup in Qatar, in the latest tournament he won bronze medal.
