Akhmat and Sergey Tashuev part ways

Akhmat Grozny officially terminated contract with head coach Sergey Tashuev by mutual agreement.

Team will be preparing for the next RPL match, against Orenburg on Sunday 20 August, under Isa Baytiev, head coach of youth team. 56-year-old coach previously took the duties of interim manager in the first team in 2011.

Tashuev was hired by Akhmat in September 2022. Grozny team finished 2022/23 season at fifth place, tied best result in club’s history. By the way, Akhmat set club records on wins, scored goals, and points in single RPL season. In June Tashuev was re-signed for three seasons.

This 2023/24 season Akhmat started with one win and three defeats in RPL, added two straight losses in Russian Cup Group Stage. In last match under Tashuev team was beaten 0-2 by Pari NN.
