Igor Akinfeev signs extension with CSKA

CSKA Moscow and team captain Igor Akinfeev extended the contract for two years, as previous agreement would run out at the end of current season.

CSKA Academy graduate made pro debut in 2003, since that Akinfeev won six RPL titles, seven Russian Cups and seven Super Cups at national level and added UEFA Cup win in 2004/05 season. 38-year-old keeper is Russian top division record holder on total appearances – 567.
