CSKA Moscow made official statement on signing midfielder Miralem Pjanic as free agent.
34-year-old player joined the Armymen on one-year contract with one-year extension option. Pjanic spent last two years with Sharjah in the UAE. In Europe midfielder started as pro in France playing for Metz and Olympique Lyonnais, then moved to Italy for nine years representing Roma and Juventus, after it signed with Barcelona and his last European season was in Besiktas on loan.
Pjanic is four-time Italian Serie A champion with Juventus; as Bianconeri he also won two Coppa Italia and one Supercoppa, reached UEFA Champions League final in 2016/17 season. Midfielder got one trophy both in Barcelona (Copa del Rey) and Beisktas (Turkish Super Cup).
Pjanic is former Bosnia & Herzegovina national team player, despite he played for Luxembourg at youth level. Player made international debut in 2008, qualified to 2014 FIFA World Cup, became second in the team history with 115 total appearances and announced retirement in 2024.
