Congratulations to Igor Akinfeev!

CSKA in the match of the 23^rd tour of the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship marmelized Volga from Nizhny Novgorod 3:0. Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev. It was the 200^th match in the career of CSKA captain when he kept a clean sheet, as the official website of CSKA informs.

This really historical event should have happened inevitably! The match against Volga became for Igor Akinfeev the 200^th match when he kept his goal untouched. Only three goalkeepers in the Soviet football history managed to reach the result of 200 goalless matches. The first to reach it was famous Lev Yashin (203 in total), then EvgenyRudakov (206), after that  RinatDasaev got this record (229). And now the first Russian (!) goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, captain of CSKA,  joined this elite “Lev Yashin Club”.

Igor became the youngest goalkeeper in the history of our football, who reached this grand master record (27 years and 357 days).
