National team of Russia squad

Fabio Capello and his staff defined the list of players, which will start preparation for 2014  FIFA World Cup in Brazil on 21 May and will be invited for the training camp. So far there are 25 players in the list. The final list will consist of 23 players and it should be announced not later than 2 June.

We would like to remind that before departure for Brazil Russia will have three friendly matches: on 26 May against Slovakia (St.Petersburg, Petrovskiy Stadium, 18:00), on 31 May against Norway (Oslo, Ullevaal, 18:00 Moscow tine) and on 6 June against Morocco (Moscow, Lokomotiv Stadium, 18:00).

 Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow), Yury Lodygin (Zenit St.Petersburg), СSergey Ryzhikov (Rubin, Kazan).

Defenders: Vasily Berezutskiy, Sergey Ignashevich, Georgy Shchennikov (all – CSKA Moscow), Vladimir Granat, Alexey Kozlov (both – Dynamo Moscow), Andrey Eshchenko (Anji Makhachkala), Dmitry Kombarov (Spartak Moscow), Andrey Semenov (Terek Groznyi).

Midfields: Igor Denisov (Dynamo Moscow), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow), Roman Shirokov (Krasnodar), Denis Glushakov (Spartak Moscow), Pavel Mogilevets  (Rubin Kazan), Victor Fayzulin, Oleg Shatov (both – Zenit St.Petersburg).

Forwards: Yury Zhirkov, Alexay Ionov, Alexander Kokorin (all – dynamo Moscow), Maxim Kanunnikov (Amkar Perm), Alexander Kerzhakov (Zenit St.Petersburgг), Alexander Samedov (Lokomotiv Moscow), Denis Cheryshev (Sevilla, Spain).

Besides, the coaches of the National team of Russia selected five reserve players:

Defenders: Alexander Anyukov (Zenit St.Petersburg), Alexey Berezutskiy (CSKA Moscow).

Midfield: Yury Gazinskiy (FC Krasnodar).

Forwards: Vladimir Bystrov (Anji Makhachkala), Artem Dzyuba (FC Rostov).
