The meeting of UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body took place in Nyon

print version

December, 17. The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body today imposed a one-match suspension on PFC CSKA Moskva players Sergei Ignashevich and Aleksei Berezutski after they failed to comply with the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations following the UEFA Champions League match against Manchester United FC on 3 November.

As both players were provisionally suspended, and therefore did not play in the UEFA Champions League match against Beşiktaş JK on 8 December, they have already served their suspension. In addition PFC CSKA Moskva were fined €25,000 for not implementing the UEFA Anti-Doping Regulations.

Russian Football Premier League considers the decision of UEFA body fair and wishes Alexei and Sergei further success with CSKA and Russian National Team!
