NTV Plus pay TV operator will get on the non-exclusive basis the domestic and internet rights for 3 years starting from 2012/2013 season. The deal includes production to be done by NTV Plus. One match per match day will be shown on a free-to-air NTV channel. Negotiations with VGTRK holding for another match on free channel are ongoing.
The main feature of the new approach is that according to deal with NTV Plus RFPL recently-created subsidiary 'Liga TV' will get the right and content from broadcaster to further sell the product in other cable and mobile operators through its own channel. That will help RFPL to generate more revenues.
The outcome of RFPL international rights tender was the approval of IMG agency proposal as the best one.
The RFPL commercial rights negotiations are still open with SOGAZ insurance company remaining title sponsor of the League.
The new season in Russia, the first one to be played in common European system, will start on July 20th.
