FC “Spartak Moscow” launches a project of children and youth football development at a North-Western administrative district of Moscow. It is a unique experience for Russian football clubs that “Spartak” hopes to implement successfully. The club has already concluded Memoramdums about cooperation with 100 schools of SZAO where building of a new Spartak stadium is in process on a full scale. Hereby about 50 000 children will be involved into sport activities and the club hopes that with the lapse of time an overwhelming majority of them will attend “Spartak” games at a new arena at Tushino.  

The main goal of “Spartak”’s Memorandum is cooperation between “Spartak” and schools of SZAO in order to popularize and develop physical education and sport activities among students. In this connection in next spring the club will organize a school football tournament for FC “Spartak” prizes at fields of Spartak Academy. 48 school teams are planned to participate and geography is planned to broaden outside SZAO. During the competitions the Spartak Academy’s selectionists will get an additional opportunity to view more than 2 500 children and the best of them can be accepted to the Academy.

In addition the club intends to organize for schoolchildren autograph and photo sessions with players of the first team, excursions to training bases of the club and the Academy, master-classes by veterans, football players, the club’s coaches at school stadiums. To cover the events the club placed their information stands at the schools of the district.

Worth to mention that in this Autumn a trial presentation of the project was held at “Luzhniki” press-center where a Spartak Academy’s President Sergey Rodionov, an Academy’s Director Valentin Klimko and an honoured veteran of the club Sergey Shavlo, who represented a Charity foundation of support to FC “Spartak Moscow” veterans and youth, spoke to a SZAO governing body, shools’ directors and teachers. The spring tournament will be held with the support from mentioned foundation.
