Oleg Mkrtchan became the Head of FC Kuban Board of Directors

On March 4 the meeting of FC Kuban Board of Directors was held and Oleg Mkrtchan, who has been the major investor of the club since 2007, was elected as a Head of the Board.  

Oleg Mkrtchan is a General Director of one of the largest Ukrainian metallurgical companies - Industrial Union of Donbass Corporation. He was born in Armavir, Krasnodar region. He graduated from Stavropol polytechnic institute in 1988 and received a diploma of a process-engineer, the club's official site says.

Since 1997 Mkrtchan has worked in Industrial Union of Donbass. Since 2002 he has held a position of ISD General Director implementing operational management of the company and also coordinating a corporative management structure of companies within ISD group. In 1999 he was awarded with Fatherland Defender medal. In 2001–2002 he was awarded with Miner's glory signs of the 2nd and 3rd degrees for his contribution to development of Donbass coal industry.

Since the end of 2007 Oleg Mkrtchan has actively supported development of sроrts in Krasnodar region paying special attention to the flagship of kuban footbal - Kuban football club.  Being its major investor jointly with the region goverment he implements qualitative organisational changes in a structure of the sports collective that bring the popular team to a new orbit of Russian football. In 2012 Mkrtchan was awarded with Kuban Labour Hero medal for his special contribution to development of Krasnodar region.  

Currently Oleg Mkrtchan personally supervises various social and charity programs directed to support of children and youth sports, contributes to development of culture and art.
