On Tuesday, 19 March, the Russian Football Premier-League top-management summed up the results of the 21st tour of the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship 2012-2013. Chairman of an Inspectorial and Disciplinary Commission of the FUR Referee Committee Aleksey Spirin took part in a press-conference. Numerous mass media representatives attended the meeting at the House of Football.
Spirin told the audience about tendencies in refereeing and inspecting development in Russia and Europe and focused on the most important and interesting facts regarding education and training of a new generation of Russian referees. Responding to journalists questions Spirin noted an increased level of refereeing at the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship games and a good reserve for young referees growth.
The Premier-League Executive Officer Sergey Cheban said that the 21st tour of the Championship became one of the most attended with an average number of 17 500 visitors per a game despite uncomfortable weather conditions in some regions. All the clubs traditionally held special events for their fans before kicks off. At some stadiums the Shrovetide was celebrated with handing out hot pancakes and oatmeal, at other stadiums colourful performances were organised for the fans.
