Russian U-17 national team advanced to the group stage of Euro-2013

On Tuesday 28 March the 6th Group's final qualifying game of the Euro-2013 second qualifying round among U-17 teams of Russian and Portugal was held at the football center Saint George Park in Burton. Russian team lost to the opponent but due to the win of England over Slovenia (2:1) and according to the tournament regulations advanced to the final stage of the tournament.

Thereby Russia advanced to the final stage of the U-17 European Championship for the first time since 2006.
