On Thursday, August 22, the coach staff of the Russian national team headed by Fabio Capello named an expanded list of players called up for preparation to World Cup 2014 qualifying games against Luxembourg (September 6, Kazan, Centralny stadium) and Israel (September 10, Saint-Petersburg, Petrovsky stadium), the FUR's official site says.

Currently 34 football players are long-listed, the final squad will be announced later.
