Ureña scored the first goal among all RFPL players at 2014 FIFA World Cup

2014 FIFA World Cup goes on in Brazil. A large group of players representing the Russian Football Premier League takes part in it.

In the kick-off match o the tournament Brazil overplayed Croatia – 3:1. Hulk from Zenit played in the squad of Brazil (he was substituted in the 68th minute), Croatia had two representatives of the RFPL on the pitch – goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa (Rostov) and defender Vedran Corluka (Lokomotiv), who played the whole match fulltime.

In Group D Costa-Rica beat Uruguay - 3:1. The third goal for the winning team scored Marcos Ureña playing for Kuban. Marcos entered the pitch in the 83rd minute of the match and managed to score one minute later.

In Group E Ecuador, for which Dynamo midfield Christian Noboa is playing, lost to Switzerland – 1:2. Dynamo player spent 90 minutes on the pitch.
