In their kick-off match of 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil National Team of Russia played in a draw against Korea Republic - 1:1.

Koreans were leading after the goal by  Ли Гин Хо, but Alexander Kerzhakov who entered the pitch after substitution managed to even the score.

In the other match of Group Н Belgium beat Algeria – 2:1. Axel Witsel from Zenit played for the winning team for 90 minutes. On 22 June National Team of Russia will play against Belgium in Rio-de-Janeiro.
