On 30 July National Team of Nigeria for which Ahmed Musa from CSKA was playing finished their participation in 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. In 1/8 final Nigeria lost to France 0:2, CSKA forward played the whole match fulltime. Ahmed, who had scored two goals at the Group Stage, became the best scorer of his team at this FIFA World Cup.

In the other match Germany beat Algeria in the extra time - 2:1. These teams will meet in the quarterfinal.
