Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate Valery Gazzaev on his 60-Anniversary!

It is impossible to imagine Russian football without Gazzaev today. Having left the most bright mark in history and hearts of his supporters, as one of the most skillful and intelligent forwards of his epoch, he is still involved into our favourite game. His principles, personal responsibility for each of his actions, readiness to head an attack, highest authority  not only among supporters bur also amond spcialists, still keep him in the avant-garde of the Russian football. The opinion of Gazzaev is very much valued, he is respected both in Russia and abroad. During his playing and coaching career Valery Gazzaev got a lot of merits. He is the USSR Cup holder, he played 283 matches in the USSR Championships, scored 89 goals. He played 8 matches and scored 4 goals for the National Team of the USSR. In total he scored 117 goals. Bronze medals of the Olympic Games 1980, winner of U-21 UEFA European Championships: 1976, 1980.

As a coach Gazzaev four times brought his teams to the Champion of Russia title, four times to the Runners-up and twice – bronze medals. Under his guidance PFC CSKA won the Cup of Russia four times and twice  - the Super Cup of Russia. The real outbreak in the development of the Russian football was UEFA Cup winning in spring 2005. In Ukraine Valery Gazzaev became Runner-up with Dynamo Kiev and won the Super Cup in 2009.
