Zenit qualifies to the Group Stage of UEFA Champions League

Zenit from St.Petersburg has qualified to the Group Stage of UEFA Champions League. In the second leg match the team of Andre Villas-Boas beat Belgium Standard - 3:0.

Rondon opened the scoring in the first half.  But Fayzulin was sent off just before the halftime. However, after the halftime Hulk converted a penalty, and scored another goal later.

Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate Zenit on qualification to UEFA Champions League Group Stage and to wish a lot of success in the tournament.

On Thursday, 28 August, a Draw of the Group Stage will take place. Premier League will be represented in this tournament by two clubs – PFC CSKA and Zenit. The Draw starts at 19:45. It will be broadcasted live on NTV Plus Football and Eurosport TV Channels.
