Congratulations on Anniversary!

Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate Yury Shikunov on his 75-anniversary!

Yury Shikunov started his playing career in Armavir Taganrog and Torpedo Taganrog, his skills and commitment could be easily seen among his team mates of the same age. For military service he was invited to SKA Rostov, where Yury played for 9 seasons, and in 1968 he finished his career in Rostselmash.

In 1964 with the USSR National Team Yury Shikunov became the Runner-up of European Championship. After his playing career was over, he worked as a coach, passing his experience to young players.

Beside European Championship silver medals, Master of Sport and Merited Coach of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic Yury Shikunov has silver medals of the USSR Championship 1966.
