Government of the Russian Federation supported selling tickets upon producing ID

Government of the Russian Federation supported the Federal Law Draft No 625637-6 «About making amendments to Art.20 of the Federal Law "On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation» proposed by the Council of Federation member Victor Ozerov, making provisions for selling tickets for sports events upon producing ID. Russian Football Premier League associates took active part in working on this draft law and RFPL had been an initiator of such proposal.

Relevant statement was published on the website of the Russian Federation Government.

 «Official opinion of the Government to the draft law about identification of spectators when selling admission tickets to sports event and at the entrance to sports events.

The Government considers appropriate to fix the date of entering into force of the present draft law six months after the date when it was officially published, and the provision on transitional period of not more than two years, when the conditions for realization proposed by the draft law provisions about identification of supporters on the basis of an ID documents should be created.

So the Government of the Russian Federation supports the proposed draft law on the condition of its further development in accordance with additional comments of the Government”.
