Zenit beat Torino in the first leg match of UEFA Europa League Round of 16

In the first leg match of UEFA Europa League Round of 16 Zenit hosted Torino in St.Petersburg.

The match ended with win of the Russian Football Premier League club – 2:0.

The visiting team remained with 10 players already in the first half after Benassi was sent off.

After the halftime Zenit managed to use its numerical advantage. The opener was scored by Witsel and Criscito fixed the final score.

The return leg match will be played in Italy in a week.
