It is not a Problem to Prepare a Good Grass Turf in March

On Tuesday, 7 April, a Press-Conference of the Russian Football Premier League administration dedicated to the results of the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship season 2014-2015 MD 21 took place in the RFPL head quarters.

The FUR expert on football grass turfs, head of Sportgazon company Alexander Efremov joined the RFPL administration for this press-conference.

RFPL Executive Director Sergey Cheban mentioned a lot of goals in the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship MD 21, and added that the matches should be played in comfortable conditions both for players and spectators, and this is the matter of essential importance. And in order the teams could show good performance, it is necessary to have playing turfs at the stadia which correspond to the tournament Regulations requirements.

FUR expert on football turfs Alexander Efremov told about the correct way of football turf preparation for the spring part of the Championship, and added that according to his experience, it is not a serious problem to gain good results by March.

 «For now I cannot see any problem in having good pitches in March, - he said. – The only thing necessary for that is the club intention. If they don’t have enough knowledge or skills, there are specialized companies, which can assist in maintaining a good turf. Yes, there is still ground frost in Siberia, it is more difficult there. But it is not a problem in European part of the country».

RFPL Director for Security and Work with Supporters Alexander Meytin told about incidents with supporters at Arsenal – Torpedo match, he added that the arrested fans can expect serious sanctions up to ban on attending football matches.

Deputy Sports Director Victor Pyshkin told about work of joint FUR and RFPL Commission on the pitch quality, which will inspect Saturn Stadium in Ramenskoe on 8 April.
