PFC CSKA had a Comeback Win over Sparta

On Wednesday, 5 August, the return leg matches of UEFA Champions League 3^rd QR were held. PFC CSKA Moscow was playing against Sparta in Prague.  The first leg match between these teams ended in a draw – 2:2.

The return leg match started unsuccessfully for the Russian Championship  Runners-up. At the beginning of the first half Sparta players scored twice to Igor Akinfeev. But Ahmed Musa managed to play back one goal before the halftime.

After the halftime Musa equalized and a well-placed shot by Alan Dzagoev brought win to PFC CSKA 3:2. So the club from Moscow qualified to the Play-Off Stage where it will be competing for the qualification to the Group Stage.

UEFA Champions League Play-Off Draw will take place on Friday, 7 August.
