Leonid Slutskiy Announce National Team of Russia Players List

Staff of the National Team of Russia headed by Leonid Slutskiy announced the list of players which will be invited to the National Team for preparation for EURO-2016 qualifying matches against Sweden (5 September, Moscow, 19.00 (Moscow time)) and Liechtenstein (8 September, 21.45 (Moscow time)).

There 24 players in the list.

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA Moscow), Yury Lodygin (Zenit St.Petersburg), Artem Rebrov (Spartak Moscow).

Defenders: Alexey Berezutskiy, Vasily Berezutskiy, Sergey Ignashevich (all – CSKA Moscow), Vladimir Granat, Dmitry Kombarov (both – Spartak Moscow), Yury  Zhirkov (Dynamo Moscow), Oleg Kuzmin (Rubin Kazan), Igor Smolnikov (Zenit St.Petersburg).

Midfields: Yury Gazinskiy, Pavel Mamaev (both – Krasnodar), Denis Glushakov, Roman Shirokov (both – Spartak Moscow), Igor Denisov, Alexey Ionov (both – Dynamo Moscow), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow), Alexander Erokhin (Ural Ekaterinburg), Oleg Shatov (Zenit St.Petersburg), Denis Cheryshev (Real Madrid, Spain).

Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (Zenit St.Petersburg), Alexander Kokorin (Dynamo Moscow), Fedor Smolov (Krasnodar).

The players of Leonid Slutskiy will start their preparation for the matches on 31 August.
