World Football Day in Ufa

On 10 December the whole world celebrates World Football Day and according to the long tradition FC Ufa celebrated in a festive atmosphere!

Early in the morning a Workshop about Russian Football Premier League within FIFA and UEFA Structure took place in Bashkir State Teacher-Training University named after Akmula. RFPL Executive Director Sergei Cheban, RFPL Safety and Security Director Alexander Meytin and FUR ExCo member Shamil Gazizov told about Premier League to the students.

At midday all main football events moved to the main sport facility of the Republic – Neftyanik Stadium. A futsal tournament kicked-off at indoor hall of the sport complex, where women’s team Ufa, fans’ team, veterans’ team of Bashkortostan Republic and representative team of FC Ufa coaches took part.

 A friendly match was arranged on the pitch of Neftyanik Stadium. FC Ufa Administration and Barkoshtostan Government team played against the team of Bashneft. Ex-head coach of Ufa Igor Kolyvanov played for Ufa team.

The futsal mini tournament was won by Republic Bashkortostan veteran team, the runners up were coaches of FC Ufa school, the third place was occupied by women’s team Ufa, which beat Fan team of the club in the play-off game for the third place.

At the end of the celebration day the best teams and players of Bashkortostan Republican Championship 2015 were awarded, the veterans and people, which had made a great contribution into Bashkir football, were honoured. Media and partners working in cooperation with FC Ufa and Bashkortostan Republic Football Federation were also awarded and thanked.
