Gianni Infantino is the new FIFA President

On Friday, 26 February, FIFA Extraordinary Congress elected the new FIFA President in Zurich. During the second ballot of the election, UEFA General Secretary Gianni  Infantino from Switzerland was elected for the position of FIFA head.

UEFA General Secretary got 115 votes during the second ballot, Sheikh Salman Ben Ibrahim Al Khalifa got only 88 votes.

Vice-President of the Football Union of Russia and President of the Russian Football Premier League Sergey Pryadkin took part in the voting representing Russia.
