Aleksander Čeferin elected UEFA President

On Wednesday, 14 сентября, Aleksander Čeferin was elected UEFA President at the European body's 12th Extraordinary Congress in Athens.

He won after having gained 42 votes. The other candidate, Michael van Praag from the Netherlands got 13 votes.

The new UEFA President (the 7th one) is elected for the period of 2,5 years.

Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate Aleksander Čeferin on his election UEFA President and to wish him a lot of success in his work for the good of football.
